Leila's Run Marathon 17th Aug 2014 Number Twenty One

This is run to raise money for Leila who I never met but was a member of the 100 Marathon Club and was sadly died. This bit is taken from the website:

Leila enjoyed life and many interests and a love for running as an active member of the Garden City Runners and 100 Marathon Club having completed over two hundred marathons.

The course includes track covered by Leila during her many training runs.

The Marathon is four laps that has a bit of everything thrown in, a very friendly low key and so many of the 100 Marathon Club with all ages. Before the start there was a presentation for some of the Club that had run well over 600 marathons.

The run itself was Ok and had a good run with Paul Allen for the first three laps and then I let him go ahead on the fourth. It was good meeting runners on the way round and a nice medal as well. Very good day out time was 3:37:14
