The Road to 100 Marathons

Malaga Marathon 8th Dec 2013 Number Eight

My first Marathon in Europe, this is a great marathon in Dec so a break from the cold UK to a warm Malaga. Go Friday and back on the Monday. There was a good bunch of YTRRC runners for this trip. 

Friday was arrive at the hotel drop the bags off and get on it. This was followed on the Saturday with a 4 mile run along the beach to the Expo to pick up Race Numbers and T-Shirt number one. It was then a gentle walk back with a spot of lunch on the beach.

Sunday saw the Race and even though the locals had gloves and jackets on it was hot for us in shorts and running vests. We had a good run with Pete, Paul and I running the route together. We were sub 8's all the way round with a 7:40 average pace coming in at 3:23:56.

Had a great weekend and this was to be the start of an annual trip out to Malaga.
